Research Emphasis: Archeology and ancient art history, iconography, the re-appropriation and revival of ancient values, concepts and images in post-classical western history, history of cultural heritage protection from a European perspective; comparative studies of ancient Greek mimesis theories and contemporary theories of perception and cognition, with special regard to neurological research and evolutionary psychology.
